Michael E. Rindler
Michael E Rindler is an accomplished advisor, chief executive officer and author with over three decades of experience assisting hospitals, healthcare systems and physician enterprises. Mr Rindler advises hospitals and healthcare systems on strategic cost reduction, strategic revenue improvement, governance, and strategic planning. He has personally led ten successful hospital and healthcare system turnarounds since 1989 as an interim chief executive officer.
After fifteen years of leading community hospitals and a regional medical center, Mr Rindler founded The Rindler Group in 1989, followed by Integrity Hospital Company in 2003. Today he serves as a partner at Integrity.
An important contributor to the healthcare industry literature, his most recent book, Masterful Medicine was written with physician colleagues including his partner Jack Mitstifer and released in 2015. It joins Masterful Leadership, also written with Dr Mitstifer, as well as five previous books: Strategic Cost Reduction, The Essential Guide to Managing Consultants, The Challenge of Hospital Governance, Managing a Hospital Turnaround, Putting Patients and Profits into Perspective, all providing valuable insights on healthcare consulting, governance and executive leadership.
Mr Rindler holds Master’s degree from the Northwestern University of Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois. He enjoys photography, vintage motor cars and motorcycles, and boating.
